Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 2, 2026
General Provisions
This policy describes what data the bit Tecnologies website, the bit Hub Android app and the bit Delta Android app process. bit Record, bit Launcher, bit Together and the Windows version of bit Hub are in development and are not covered yet: we will update this policy before they are released. The description is based on the apps' source code as of the update date.
What Data Is Processed
bit Hub (Android)
When bit Hub is running:
- Requests the app catalog from a Supabase server — like any network service, the server receives your IP address and technical request data
- Checks for updates and downloads APKs from GitHub (api.github.com and GitHub Releases) — GitHub receives your IP address and request data under its own policy
- Reads the list of installed apps on the device to show what is already installed and whether an update exists; the source code contains no requests that send this list
- Stores settings (theme, update check interval, network restrictions) only on your device
- Uses permissions: internet, notifications, installing and removing apps, viewing the list of installed apps
- Contains no analytics or advertising SDKs and does not send crash reports
bit Delta (Android)
When bit Delta is running:
- Uses motion sensors and activity recognition (the "Physical activity" permission) to count steps and detect rest, walking and running
- Stores app data (steps, goals, settings) only on your device
- Does not request internet access and therefore cannot send data off the device
- Uses a Google Play services library for activity recognition; it is governed by Google's policies
Website
When you visit the website:
- Pages load fonts from Google Fonts — Google receives your IP address and request data
- A script on the page requests the latest bit Hub release data from GitHub — GitHub receives your IP address and request data
- Your chosen theme and language are stored in your browser's localStorage and are not sent anywhere
- The website hosting provider, like any host, may keep technical request logs
- The website has no analytics, advertising, or tracking cookies
Use of Data
We use this data only to make features work:
- Showing the app catalog and release information
- Checking for and downloading updates
- Counting activity in bit Delta on the device itself
- Running the website and remembering your theme and language
We do not sell data and do not show targeted advertising.
Data Storage
Settings and app data are stored on your device. The bit Hub server side (Supabase) stores the app catalog and release information; its schema contains no user accounts.
Third-Party Services
We rely on third-party services with their own privacy policies: Supabase (the bit Hub catalog), GitHub (releases, updates and source code), Google Fonts (website fonts), Google Play services (activity recognition in bit Delta) and the website hosting provider.
Security
What we do to protect you:
- APKs and catalog data are downloaded over HTTPS
- The bit Hub and bit Delta source code is published on GitHub and can be reviewed
